Eatsy — Food Delivery App
Eatsy
Cross-platform React Native app browse restaurants, order in seconds, pay securely, and track delivery live on iOS and Android.
One app for iPhone and Android
Eatsy wanted to compete with big delivery apps by shipping something that felt great from the first tap.
We designed and built everything in React Native with TypeScript. One codebase covers browsing, ordering, payment, and live delivery tracking.
Move fast without cutting corners
People expect polished delivery apps right away. Quick search, great photos, easy checkout, and live tracking. The business also needed both app stores live soon.
Separate native builds for iPhone and Android would have taken much longer. Eatsy needed a team that could ship quickly and still deliver something that felt native on both sides. We focused on smooth scrolling, natural gestures, and a warm look that makes you want to order.
A simple, welcoming start
The opening screens set the tone. We added a playful splash screen, then sign in with email, Google, Facebook, or Apple, plus a quick code step so people can get in fast.
Clear copy, generous buttons, and orange and green colors keep the experience friendly and easy to trust.

Find food quickly
The home screen greets you by name and shows nearby restaurants with photos, ratings, delivery time, and free delivery badges. Category chips let you jump straight to Pizza, Burgers, or Desserts.
Search responds instantly. Recent searches appear as chips, popular spots show up as you type, and results land in a simple grid with add to cart on every item.

Make every dish look its best
Item pages are where browsing turns into ordering. Each dish gets hero photos, ingredients, dietary tags, and a price bar that stays visible while you scroll.
Rating, delivery time, and cost sit up top. Related items are easy to spot. The add to cart button stays within thumb reach because extra steps lose orders.

From cart to your door
Checkout supports cash, Visa, Mastercard, and PayPal. People can save cards and add new ones easily. After ordering, a confirmation screen shows the estimated delivery window.
Live tracking puts the route on a map with step by step updates: accepted, preparing, on the way, delivered. You always know where your food is.

Built to grow and run well
The app runs on React Native with TypeScript. About 95% of the code is shared between iOS and Android. A token based design system keeps colors, type, spacing, and corners consistent on every screen.
Native modules handle payments, maps, and push alerts. The cart saves locally so nothing gets lost mid order. CodePush lets the team ship fixes without waiting on app store review.
Lists use FlashList for smooth scrolling. Images load lazily and stay cached. The app opens in under two seconds on mid range phones, because hungry people do not wait.
